FIRST Tech Challenge

Overview

FTC was the first place I ever looked at a problem and thought, I could build that. Smaller robots, smaller team, and bigger ownership. Every part of the machine was within reach.

What I worked on

• Designed and prototyped intakes, lifts, and end effectors across multiple seasons.
• Helped shape team strategy and match-day decisions as captain.
• Mentored teammates on CAD, fabrication, and basic shop safety.
• Drove at competitions and learned how a calm pit crew is half the win.

Takeaways

FTC taught me that a small, focused team can outdesign a large, unfocused one. The disciplines I picked up here are the same ones I use today.
